European Opera Institute (“we”, “EOI”) respects the privacy of visitors and users of the europeanoperainstitute.com platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and your rights.
1. What data we collect
- Account data (artists): name, email, voice type, biography, repertoire, media links — provided voluntarily upon registration.
- Contact data: name and email submitted through the contact form.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited — automatically collected via technical cookies.
2. How we use your data
- Managing artist accounts and displaying public profiles.
- Responding to inquiries received through the contact form.
- Sending communications related to our services (with your consent).
- Improving platform functionality.
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data on the basis of: contract performance (art. 6.1.b), consent (art. 6.1.a) and legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) under EU Regulation 2016/679.
4. Data sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data. Public artist profiles are visible to European opera houses and theatres — this is the stated purpose of the platform. We use hosting and email services that process data as associated processors, with GDPR guarantees.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for site functionality (session, authentication). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), portability, restriction and objection. For any request, write to us at madalin.g.groza@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Data retention
Account data is retained for as long as the account is active. Upon account deletion, data is completely removed within 30 days. Contact form data is retained for a maximum of 2 years.
